Gretchen's Equine Senior Session | Dandelion Farm | Maple Plain Senior Photographer

I’m not sure how here at Andrea Wagner Photography we keep getting lucky enough to photograph an equestrian senior session every year, but we sure aren’t mad about! I feel so lucky to get to spend time with these majestic animals and get to know their caretakers, who are all the sweetest humans.

Gretchen’s horse Tug lives at Dandelion Farm in Maple Plain, Minnesota, which is a hunter/jumper training farm west of the Twin Cities. It was so fun to capture these precious life moments between the two of them. I learned that horses are best photographed in certain poses, where the tension elongates the neck of the horse and pulls the muscles forward. We were able to capture a great number of posed and candid shots in the gorgeous dreamy golden sunset.

My team will be back at Dandelion Farm this summer for another session and I’m so excited!
