Will + Casey | An Ocho Rios Beach Wedding at Riu Hotel | Jamaica Elopement and Destination Wedding Photographer
Do you remember a few months back when people were posting on TikTok their “Mosaic Challenge”? A trend that was based in showing people what you are made of. Just as a mosaic is a bigger picture made up of small fragments of glass, tile, or stone, we are a mosaic of the people who have come into our lives and touched our souls in one way or another. This micro wedding in Ocho Rios Jamaica is part of my mosaic.
Casey and I had known of each other through mutual friends.
We originally lived in the same small town in Wisconsin but we had never really met!
Casey and Will were originally planning their wedding in North Carolina where they live, but quickly realized for the money they were going to spend, they really could do a micro-wedding somewhere tropical with their closest family and friends.
Their love story is what makes being a part of this beautiful wedding in Ocho Rios Jamaica so special.
To properly celebrate and document their big day, we took some day before pictures of the lovely couple! Check out the beautiful Ocho Rios Jamaica scenery below.
Will and Casey were my first bride and groom of 2020 and they sure went out with a BANG! In the dead of midwest winter, they flew me and their families to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for a destination micro-wedding at Hotel Riu Ocho Rios, an all inclusive resort on the beach.
Casey and Will met when Will came back to Marshfield WI from North Carolina in October of 2016.
Will was visiting family and one night Casey was out with a mutual friend of theirs and the rest is history. They instantly hit it off and became good friends. Some months later Will got into a serious car accident when his car hit a power line while working for his NASCAR racing team.
Casey found herself coming to visit him often, which in return made their friendship grow so much stronger. Four months after the accident Casey got a job offer in the area, so she moved about 45 min away from him. After hanging out all the time, one day he finally asked her out on a proper date.
And that’s all she wrote!
They got engaged in June of 2019, a little over a year after dating and were engaged for 7 months. You just know when you meet someone special, and they both knew the first time they met that there was an undeniable spark.
Once the pieces fell into place, it was very evident that this was their forever.
Friends to lovers, it’s a tale as old as time.

When I asked Casey what her favorite part of her wedding day, this was her answer:
“Having both best friends by my side. My future husband in front of me and my best friend behind me always supporting me through life’s craziness. It was very intimate. Also, my aunt was sick with cancer, and to know she was there with me that week is something I’ll always cherish (she has since passed). The most important people were with us that day. It was the BEST decision and I’d recommend a destination wedding to anyone wanting a very intimate ceremony.”
Moments like this wedding in Ocho Rios Jamaica make it all worth it.
