I love mothers. Probably because I am one, and I know all about the joys and struggles of motherhood. And the only greater joy than finding out you're expecting your second child is the moment you get to HOLD that child after 9 months of not knowing whether it's a boy or a girl.

I had the privilege of photographing my friend Katy twice during her pregnancy, most recently for a maternity session in the snow here in River Falls. Then we anxiously awaited the arrival of baby brother or sister!

On March 21st, 2018, the Bechtel family welcomed Boone Callaway, a healthy 8 lb 1 oz baby boy to complete their family of four! And he is sooooooo cute!! With lighter hair than his sister and an appetite that is already that of a growing boy, he had me wrapped around his finger as I got to rock him into a sleep that lasted much of our newborn lifestyle session. The session couldn't have been more perfect, complete with tons of kisses from big sister Lennon.

The Bechtel's chose my newest special Milestone Package, which means I get to photograph Boone and their entire family two more times in the next year as he hits important milestones in his first year on this Earth.
