Meg, a paramedic, was working at the Scoops for Troops 5K when she met TC, a firefighter, who ignited a fire that neither of them wanted to put out! Six years later they are happily married and recently welcomed their first child, a daughter named Maya.

Maya entered the world weighing 6 lbs 7 oz and measuring 19 inches long. She was a very alert baby, keeping her parents up all night and only wanting to sleep when she was held. I can relate, as my daughter loved to be cuddled and we spent many nights on the couch together, with her sleeping on my chest in between feedings. Maya was just the same with her mama, and I told her to soak it up because it won’t last forever! I feel like we don’t talk about 4th trimester as much as we should!

I loved meeting this sweet family in their Eagan MN home and I look forward to seeing Maya grow! The cutest thing was seeing TC and Maya snuggle nose to nose; I don’t think I’ll ever forget the connection I felt when he did that in front of me - the sweetest connection!
