Zach and Kristi met in graduate school in Houghton, MI and after graduating, they worked together as travel physical therapists exploring different parts of the country. A travel contract in 2018 brought them both to little old Marshfield WI, my childhood hometown.
In May of that year, they took a trip back to Houghton where they had met. On that trip, Zach ended up proposing while on their favorite beach on Lake Superior. To add to the excitement of planning a wedding, they also bought a house in Marshfield and decided to sign on full time with the company they had been working for. They added their pups, Mya and Marlo to their family as well.
Zach and Kristi both love how important family is to each other, and how they fit in seamlessly on each side. Zach knew Kristi was the one because she let him drag her to a Vikings game in the bitter cold after dating for only a couple of weeks, and having someone to struggle through Sundays with is incredible :) Kristi loves Zach for his huge heart and loves having someone to adventure through life with. And even though they had to change their original honeymoon plans due to COVID, they were still able to take a road trip together while hiking, camping, and site seeing for over 3,000 miles.
This wedding was supposed to be shot by one of my associates, but another unintended change due to COVID meant that I had the honor of stepping in and photographing it myself and I am so glad I did! The thought of not getting the honor of meeting these two myself, their friends, and their family, makes me realize how wonderful of a day it truly was; a day filled with so much joy and laughter, genuine tears of happiness, and a whole lot of fun! The rain showers helped us all to slow down and enjoy the full day. And we all know rain on your wedding day is good luck :)
