Lillie B | An Artistic Senior Session in Marshfield WI | Marshfield Senior High Portrait Photographer

Apparently, I followed Lillie first on Instagram. She reminded me of that :) But I’m so happy I did because she ended up booking her senior session with me, kicked off my first of 2020, and it happened in my home town of Marshfield WI. I get back to the area a handful of times per year, and it’s always wonderful to meet seniors that had some of the same teachers I had when I graduated from Marshfield Senior High.

Lillie is a full blown artist. Not only is her work exquisite, but she exudes creativity. You can see it in the way she dresses, the way she walks, the way she lights up when she talks about art and culture and travel. She made me jealous talking about her trips around the world. We made sure to bring that creative flare to her session and highlight some of her artwork.

The other beautiful thing about doing sessions back in Marshfield is that I get to meet with people who knew or interacted with my late father. It’s always a wonderful treat when we make a connection somewhere; in this instance, Lillie’s father was my father’s doctor during one of his sleep studies in the years where he was fighting cancer. My mom tells me of a story where Lillie’s father completely calmed their anxiety during a visit and was a moment she would never forget. I didn’t know that going into Lillie’s session - it was just a story that organically told itself and unwound after I gushed about how amazing Lillie and her family were.

It’s been real Marshfield. As always, you bring magic to my life.
