Dylan and Melissa met when they were just young teenagers, not even able to legally drive a car yet. Both of their families raised and showed horses, so in true young puppy love fashion, they started hanging around each other at the horse shows, then came long chats on the phone, then other relationships with other people but eventually as adults, they came back together after years apart and the rest is history.

They were always meant for one another.

Dylan is the definition of a hard worker. I can’t count the number of times during their wedding that someone mentioned this, including Melissa’s father who made it known he believes that Dylan will always provide for and care for his daughter. It’s clear that Dylan is revered and respected in his circle.

Melissa is an incredibly caring and supportive partner. You can just tell she knows exactly what Dylan needs and she strives to give that to him, never taking for granted the amount of long hours he spends working. She’s also the SWEETEST! I just freaking love her.

This wedding at Pine Lake Camp in Waupaca WI was one for the books – from the venue to the details to the loving friends and family that showed up to the wonderful dance party at the end – I was so honored to be a part of it. I laughed (particularly when Dylan’s sister Dara read Melissa’s diary entries talking about how much she loved Dylan at the age of 14) and cried at this one. And I knew I was a witness to true love that could stand the test of time and hardship.
