James and Angie met on Match.com, after James sent a message saying “Hi. I’m James. We should play a game of cribbage sometime.” So that’s what they did on their first date – dinner at a diner and cribbage! James said that Angie was the only girl he ever wanted to go on a second date with from the website.

They both say their relationship is by far the easiest and most natural relationship that either of them have been in and they still pinch themselves thinking who knew life could be this good. “It’s that kind of feeling where you just see the other person and you feel happy!” says Angie. Oh. My. Heart.

Shortly after a year of dating, James proposed at Angie’s Aunt and Uncle’s lake home in Wisconsin. He took her out in the boat to go fishing and as he drove them back into shore, he said to Angie “Make sure we aren’t going to hit the bottom” and when she turned back around to face him, he was on one knee already teary-eyed himself. On shore, her family lit off fireworks – how MAGICAL!

Angie and James’ wedding day was truly all about them and their love (and let’s be real, a bit about Irish Whiskey). Everyone was laid back, happy and laughing, and the moments I spent with James and Angie alone really reminded me what wedding days are all about: the two people saying I DO and their love for each other. Anything and everything else about the day truly doesn’t matter except the joy between two partners, pledging to love each other through the good and the bad forever.
